Such a mindful concept. So many forms, so much action, and so much return. I have been pondering this peace, letting it percolate. I find that giving is so fulfilling beyond words.
Here are some ways. Standing in the coffee line. Thinking of all the busyness and impatient thoughts, I allow the person in back of me to order and I pay for it. The human experience creates communication and conversation, a smile, a share.
At Plume and Thread we test all of our fabrics. We end up with an abundance of fabric swatches. Not wanting them to end up as landfill we have found a community to donate them to. We collaborate with the Village of Arts and Humanities. Donating to them, seeing our fabrics, and seeing the exhibit of how the community created art is and was eye candy, heart candy.
Recently I ran into a friend from years ago. We did craft shows together. An incredible artist and human. We have life in common. Daughters the same age. Reconnecting she said, “I asked for an angel and you appeared. It’s magical.” My heart filled up with joy that I could make a difference in someone’s life. I had an offering and I can receive. A collaboration in ways beyond what we might know.
So I encourage myself to be aware of surrounding humans. Listening and viewing the humanness that we all offer one another. Share a smile. A yes! A hug! A mindful moment!
Sending all some love.
